Modern Slavery Statement

Version 25.8.4

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes the company’s slavery and human trafficking policy as practised during the financial year ending January 2025.

Glen Chess Ltd is a supplier of a variety of services and goods provided to the public and private sectors, both in the UK and abroad. Our vision is to provide the highest quality solutions in the industries in which we work, using the most ethical practices. We source our goods from a variety of different companies and are able to trace all of them back to the companies that make them. We supply goods and services through a number of different brands. These include Glen Chess, MyWeb.co, Schoodie Europe, Server Expert and Touch Communications.

We regularly check all of our supply chains to ensure that they comply with our standards.

Our standards go above and beyond any of those set out by industry guidelines. We are extremely proud of our reputation and work hard to ensure that we work closely with our suppliers to provide high quality goods, provided by employees who are happy within their workplaces.

We ensure that every person within our company is paid above the living wage and we review all of our supplier’s codes of ethics, ensuring that they also provide a caring workplace for their employees.

We have not recently highlighted any suppliers of our products or components which we see as high risk. We do not deal with companies who do not have ethical guidelines in place and, where possible, we source our goods from ethical suppliers which manufacture parts in places with the strictest workers’ rights. Where components are supplied by companies which operate in jurisdictions that have working rights inferior to our own, we personally oversee their employment practices and arrange inspections to ensure that any products we sell come from a source that we are satisfied with. We believe that happier workers supply higher quality goods.

Should any of our employees or any employee of a company which supplies us have any concerns due to the nature of their work or conditions, they are actively encouraged to raise these issues with us through a secure whistleblowing system. They are also instructed of access to independent whistleblowing systems which provide anonymity. The health, safety and welfare of all people is of paramount concern to us.

All of our employees are trained to understand and report all issues regarding health, safety, corruption, welfare and ethical practices within our company. We take such matters extremely seriously. Should a scenario occur in which we have reason to distrust the conduct of any matter regarding these practices, we will conduct a full investigation, co-operate with all relevant authorities and ensure that such practices are uncovered. We reserve the right to sever relationships with suppliers whom we deem to be acting inappropriately and report all concerns to the relevant authorities.

We believe that human trafficking is an extremely serious offence and we will not hesitate to contact authorities immediately if we have any reason to suspect such practise. We are sure, without any doubt, that neither we nor our suppliers partake in any such practise.

This policy was approved by the Directors of Glen Chess Ltd following our financial year ending January 2025.
